In this old genuine but renovated district you will find, besides a great variety of restaurants and bars, many of Barcelona’s most important sightseeing spots, such as the Picasso Museum, the Ciutadella Parc with its famous Barcelona Zoo, the beautiful Santa Maria del Mar Church and the magnificent Palau de la Música, a theatre designed by the famous catalán architect Lluis Domenech I Muntaner. Also, you can visit here two famous city markets: El Mercat Del Born, where archaeological rests from the medieval century have been recently found, and the modern market El Mercat Santa Caterina, designed by the famous catalan architect Enric Miralles.
